Academic Environment

The IAS-STS offers excellent research infrastructure and provides Research Fellows and Visiting Scholars with a workplace equipped with excellent information and communications technology. They all have access to the library of IFZ - with a focus on the main issues of the fellowship programme - and to the university libraries in Graz. Close co-operation with researchers at the IFZ - Inter-University Research Centre for Technology, Work and Culture, which is the Graz unit of the Department of Research on Science and Technology / Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies at Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt, guest lectures, workshops and conferences provide an atmosphere of creativity and scholarly discussion.

The IAS-STS is integrated into a network of eight universities in Graz: the Graz University of Technology, the University of Graz, the Medical University of Graz the University of Music and Performing Arts, the University of Applied Sciences - FH Joanneum, the University of Applied Sciences Business Studies - Campus 02, the University of Teacher Education and the Tertiary College of Education of the Catholic Church.
