My stay at IAS-STS has been very pleasant and professionally enriching. I received a nine months Ernst-Mach Grant to support my work in Graz, which allowed me to continue scientific research right after my PhD defence. While in Graz I managed to not only publish some of my previous work in international journals but also submit proposals for my future post-doctoral career. I had an opportunity to expose my work to a broad spectrum of researchers working on science, technology and society interactions through IFZ seminars and conferences, and received very useful and ‘out of the box’ feedback from my colleagues.
Thanks to my placement at IAS-STS I had an incredible experience in discovering Graz with its unique design attractions, beautiful nature, handcraft markets, sustainability inventions and nice cuisine. The trip to Buschenschank after the annual IAS-STS conference was unforgettable with marvelous views up the hills around Graz, wonderful company of people, delicious food and great wines.
