Applicants for a long-term fellowship (about nine months) at the IAS-STS have the opportunity to apply for a grant to cover their living costs up to a maximum amount of Euro 940,- per month. Applicants must furnish evidence that their employer or other institution can supply no funding.
The Director of the IAS-STS decides on the awarding of grants after consulting the Scientific Advisory Board.
Mind: Grant applications will only be considered if submitted along with a completed “Application for Appointment as Research Fellow or Visiting Scholar” (the blue application form)!
The IAS-STS may also provide a one-off grant covering the Research Fellow’s travelling costs to and from Graz up to a maximum amount of Euro 300,-.
As a special grant within the thematical focus "Energy and Climate" (see: Fellowship Programme) the Manfred Heindler grant for research projects on the increased use of renewable energies and on a more efficient use of energy will be awarded.
